Father Jozef Trela
Father Jozef Trela was born 15 January 1967 in Rzeszow in a peasant family as a son of Stanislaw and Helena Trela. He graduated from the primary school in Zawadka and High School of Adam Mickiewicz in Strzyzow, passing his A-levels in 1986.
In that year he started his studies in the Higher Priest Seminary in Przemysl and he received his deacon ordination there. He was ordained a priest in 1992 by the bishop Gorny in the newly created Rzeszow eparchy. He spent his first years of priesterhood in Borek Wielki in the Ukraine (1994-1995), later he was a priest in Załeże near Rzeszow and in Bratkowice. He defended his master thesis from the New Testament, written under scientific guidance of father prof. Landkamer at the Catholic University of Lublin and since January 1997 he went to Kazakhstan to the missionary work. As far he worked in Taraz (2 years), Kamyshenka by Astana (5 years) and in Talgar (3 years).
