Lisakovsk is situated in the north of Kazakhstan in Kostanay region.
Lisakovsk received an official status of town in 1971. The town was building
basically for miners because there was one of the biggest ore mining and
processing enterprise there. At that time the town was occupied with the
people from nearest settlements. And some of them kept up Catholics traditions
in Nelyubinsk, Vikentevskiy, Pridorozhny, Stepnoi settlements. In the early
twenties of the twentieth century there were prayer-houses and chapels,
which were destroyed in the years of repression and persecutions. German
families kept up Catholics traditions. They removed in Kazakhstan in 20
century from Kherson and Stavropolie. Now and again the priests came in
the settlements and supported the believers . One of them was F.Alexander
Benja. He was a dean from Kostanay.
Since 1989 there is Catholic community in Lisakovsk. At that time the
divine services were led in the private houses. In 1991 the parish got
premise for a chapel. Firstly they adapted a flat for those aims and then
it was the store. It was the omen that Catholic Church wanted to
take part in the life of the town and its people. Originally the parish
hadn't got permanent priest who could give the people opportunity to take
part in divine service every day. First permanent priest was F.Kshishtov
Kukulka. (Now he is the dean of the parish in Tashkent.) The service of
F.Kshishtov wasn't long. After his departure new priest
F. Rosula came.
On August 13th, 1993 Jan Pavel Lenga -the bishop of Kazakhstan
and Central Asia visited the parish.
F.Zbignev Beskur works in parish since November of 1993.
He is a priest from Poland and missionary of God's Mother La-Salett.
In 1997 the parish received the prefabricated temple thanks to Catholics
from "Renovabis" the charitable organization (Germany).
On 19th of September of 1998 -the second visit of bishop Jan
Pavel Lenga .He conducted Holy Mass and consecrated the kindergarten which
is attached to the parish.
The parish renovates all the time. In spite of many people have removed
to Germany, God assembles here the people of various nationalities
proving his desire that church exists and grows.
